Made in Wabash, Indiana

Three sisters, one roaster,
and coffee tinned by hand.

We roast in small batches, grind it the same week, and fill, seal and lid every tin ourselves. Then we hand it to you.

Made in Wabash, IN
  • Roasted in small batches We load the roaster ourselves and watch the beans change colour rather than trusting a timer.

How a tin gets made

Six steps, all of them done by hand in Wabash. Here are the first three.

  1. A founder at the roaster controls, green beans tumbling behind the drum window.

    Step 1: Roast the Beans

After we load the beans, we watch them change color as they roast.

  2. Roasted beans being discharged from the roaster into the cooling tray.

    Step 2: Cool & Inspect

We let the beans cool and take a look at the finished roast.

  3. A Grounded Coffee tin being filled beneath the grinder.

    Step 3: Grind & Fill

Next, we grind the beans and fill them in our custom tins.

Who we are

A family business, run by the kids

Grounded Coffee Co. is three sisters in Wabash, Indiana who roast, grind, fill and seal every tin themselves. It started at the kitchen table and moved to a roaster, a grinder and a can seamer — but the lids still go on by hand, one at a time.

If you have seen us at a market or picked up a tin locally, that was one of us behind the table.
